John Vogel is a rising comedian, actor, and writer from the Bronx, NY. He is a comedic renaissance man, known for his “scene-stealing” Off-Off-Broadway performance as Billy the Intern in Good Morning New York as well his comedy club stand-up act. As if that weren’t enough, John is also a prominent cast member in multiple comedy troupes, including Sketchy, Gritty Reboot, and Florida Man, all regularly featured in NYC’s comedy festival circuit.
John has studied comedy, improvisation, and performance under Second City, UCB, and PIT alumni such as Patrick McCartney, Chris Griggs, Michael Delaney, Geoff Grimwood, and Rachel Rosenthal.
Maria DeSimone plays Marisol in The Trouble. She has been interested in acting since she was 9 years old. Maria made her feature film debut in 2012. Since then, she has appeared in multiple film and television projects, including Law & Order: SVU and The Life. She has also been featured in several national commercials. She has studied acting at the Michael Chekhov Studio in New York and with Chazz Palminteri at his Master Class.
New Jersey Native Christian Torres Villalobos is best known for his lead roles on the hit series Deadly Devotion (2014) & Momsters (2015) which aired on Investigation Discovery. The “Bad Boy” of the silver screen is a reputation that follows Villalobos as he joins the cast of the International feature film Urbana La Pelicula (2016) Directed by Mike Niche & The Trouble: Once Upon a Time in the Bronx (2016) Directed by Zef Cota. You can also see Villalobos starring in the well known Web series Red Dot (2016) Directed by Nimi Hendrix.

Ari Myrtaj is an actor originally from Kosovo. He’s collaborated with Zef Cota and Alphabet City Films on numerous occasions including BUL$H!T WALKS, HONOR DOESN’T COST A THING, and festival favorite THE PEOPLE WATCHERS. Ari divides his time between New York City and Europe, and is an avid soccer player and enthusiast.
Greggory Daniels is an actor, comedian, and filmmaker living in Brooklyn, NY. He has made nearly a dozen television appearances including MTV’s ‘Girl Code’, and the Emmy Award winning ‘A Crime to Remember’ on Investigation Discovery channel. He has appeared in 3 feature films including ‘Blue Mountain State: Rise of Thadland’.
He has been performing sketch and stand up comedy in New York since 2010.
Zef Cota is an independent filmmaker based in the South Bronx. He’s written and directed eight short films which have played at various festivals. Zef has recently completed his debut feature film called The Trouble, “an urban spaghetti western” set in the Bronx.
Zef is Co-founder and Director of Alphabet City Films. In the past he’s worked as a filmmaker for IBM, producing digital content for their research division in the field of Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence. In October 2017 ACM (the Association for Computing Machinery) has presented him along with four IBMers with the Best Brave New Idea Paper Award for their pioneering work on Artificial Intelligence in the creation of movie trailers.
Mark Marini is a writer-producer born and bred in New York City. He has written several short and feature screenplays most of which are produced or in various states of production. Along with Zef Cota, Mark co-founded Alphabet City Films in 2011 and has collaborated with independent filmmakers from New York, LA and abroad. His latest feature, The Trouble, co-written with Zef Cota is currently in post production. Mark also acts as a creative consultant on various film and digital projects.
George Z. Rudaj is an independent film producer from New York City as well as Head of Production at Alphabet City Films. Along with Zef Cota he has produced THE TROUBLE as well as eight narrative shorts, music videos, documentary segments, commercials, as well as content for the international company MLG (Major League Gaming). George holds a degree in cinema studies from Brooklyn College.
Joel Martinez is a managing member of Alphabet City Films, and is a long time producing partner of Zef Cota. They’ve collaborated on over half a dozen projects including film festival favorites THE PEOPLE WATCHERS, BLACK CHERRY CHEESECAKE, REMEMBER TO REMEMBER, as well as many other shorts, music videos, and commercial segments.
Michael Stephens and Andrew Marinaccio are Bronx-based recording artists. As the duo Data 91, they produce experimental albums, film scores, and mixed-media projects with local New York City artists. After scoring BUL*$H!T WALKS and THE TROUBLE for Alphabet City Films, they plan on releasing their debut album, “For the Kids,” this year.
